APS6 Project Officer

Randstad is searching for a skilled and accomplished APS6 Project Officers who possesses a keen eye for detail and excels in their field. This role requires the ability to build and sustain strong Arelationships. About your new role

As a senior member of the project team, the APS6 Project Officer will lead complex initiatives that directly support the NDIS mission. Operating with a high degree of independence, you will oversee the full project lifecycle, from developing strategic plans and schedules to managing budgets and procurement activities. You will serve as a technical advisor, translating complex data and policy into high-quality executive briefs and business cases to guide evidence-based decision-making. Beyond technical execution, this role requires a proactive approach to risk management and the ability to navigate multidisciplinary environments to ensure all deliverables meet Agency standards.

What you will need to exceed

• Excellent written and verbal skills, specifically the ability to translate complex data and policy into high-quality briefs and presentations for executive-level audiences.
• Ability to interpret data, identify root-cause issues, and apply sound judgment to offer evidence-based solutions.
• Be comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritising effectively under pressure, and adapting quickly to shifting organisational priorities
• Ability to navigate complex policy settings and negotiate with a range of internal and external stakeholders to achieve cooperation and minimise opposition.
• A strong background in identifying project risks and benefits while ensuring all deliverables meet strict quality standards.
• Proven experience in developing project plans, managing budgets, and overseeing procurement and contract management activities.
